Build your city
Your capital starts as a keep, a few fields and fifty workers. Every building is upgraded one level at a time, and each shows its cost and time before you commit.
- Resources
- Four lumber camps, four quarries, four iron pits and four farmlands feed your stores of wood, stone, iron and grain.
- The Keep
- Brings in workers, and each level cuts the time of every building and study.
- Academy
- Eleven lines of research, each to level 10, from better harvests to sharper scouting.
- Ramparts
- Fifteen places for traps and turrets that thin out an attack before it reaches your walls.
Explore the world map
Each world is one map of 600 by 600 fields, shared by every ruler in it. What you can see, you can scout, settle or march on.
- Oases and forts
- Hold oases for their resources and forts for their gold. Your title sets how many you can keep.
- Hunts
- Camp troops at a free oasis to gather gold, with a chance of treasure on the way home.
- Branch cities
- From the title of Baron you can found branch cities further out, up to six as a King.
- Moving
- Relocate a city to sit nearer your alliance or a prize, using a relocation writ or coins.
Command every battle
Battles are fought live, round by round. You order each troop type to advance, hold or fall back, while your rival gives orders of their own.
- Four troop types
- Footmen are cheap and steady, riders fast and tough, bowmen strike from range and catapults hit hardest from furthest away.
- Scouting
- Scouting a rival is instant and free, so you know what you face before you march.
- Battle simulator
- Set up two armies and play out the fight before you risk real troops.
- Steady connection
- Attack alerts warn you when a march is coming, and a battle reconnects if your signal drops.
Generals and treasures
Your general leads every march. Points from each new title go into attributes and skills, and treasures fill five equipment slots.
- Attributes
- Attack, defence, speed and fortune, each up to 100.
- Skills
- Lockpicking, Ambush, Field Medicine, Plunder and Persuasion, each up to level 10.
- Equipment
- A sword, armour, a horse, a manual and a ring, each enhanced and upgraded up to level 20.
- Titles
- Climb from Freeman to King. Higher titles hold more cities, oases and forts.
Alliances and chat
Alliances are where the game is decided. Plan in alliance chat, write longer letters in the alliance mailbox and fight for the realm’s mines together.
- Ranks
- One leader, up to five vice leaders and their members, each with clear powers.
- Levels and armies
- Donations raise the alliance up to level 20 and pay for alliance armies.
- Mines
- An alliance can hold one mine at a time, earning prestige for as long as it keeps it.
- Standings
- Alliances are ranked by the combined prestige of their members.
Weekly Pass and Daily Chance
Something new every day. The Weekly Pass opens each Monday with tasks and a reward track; the Daily Chance and daily gift come round every day.
- Ten tiers
- Daily and weekly tasks earn points toward ten tiers. Everyone can claim the free rewards.
- Pass effects
- While the pass is active: more workers, faster building and study, and more prestige.
- Nine chests
- One pick a day from the Daily Chance, with the odds of every prize shown before you choose.
- Nothing lost
- Rewards left unclaimed at the end of the week arrive in a letter.
